Accomack
County Boat Launching Facilities
Accomack County offers miles and miles of shoreline with its creeks, inlets,
and bays. The county maintains numerous launching facilities to enable
residents and visitors to enjoy the aquatic environment. County facilities
may be used without charge however overnight mooring is not permitted. Other facilities
are owned and maintained by harbor committees or towns. These facilities
may charge a fee for use.
Caution: Always consult a current nautical chart before entering
waters that you are not familiar with. Water depths vary considerably
among the county's facilities.Click on the green dot to see a more detailed map of the area around the

Public Boating Facility Operations and Maintenance
The County maintains
twenty-seven water access sites for public use. The sites vary widely
in size and improvements. Some sites consist only of unimproved
shoreline near public roads, while others offer deep water slips and
large parking areas. Most sites, with the exception of Quinby and
Greenbackville Harbors, do not charge fees. Overnight mooring is
prohibited at most facilities. Please contact the Public Works Office
