The Board realizes that the pace of change in the county is accelerating to the extent that they need to take a higher-level view over a longer time-frame.  They also recognize that they need to work as a team to set priorities and goals that can be achieved systematically. 

The Accomack County Board of Supervisors will  adopt a strategic plan to guide important policy and investment decisions over a period of three years. Discussion will be focused on patterns and trends, strengths and weaknesses, and needs and opportunities in the county. The Board will also identify elements of a long-term vision for Accomack County. That vision and initial plan will be used to develop staff and budget priorities during the three-year period it covers.
