Fire Medic James “Bo” Mason and Fire Medic Dominic Loper completed the 9-11 Memorial Stair Climb on Sunday, September 13, 2015. The event took place in the twenty-two story SunTrust Center Building on E. Main Street in Richmond, Virginia.
The 9-11 Memorial Stair Climbs are not timed events but a way for firefighters and members of the community to honor and remember the 343 FDNY firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001. Each participant pays tribute to one of the fallen FDNY firefighters by climbing the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center. The proceeds from these events help the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (www.firehero.org).
“This was a huge accomplishment and demonstrates their dedication to the fire service and our Department” said Charles R. Pruitt, Director, Accomack County Department of Public Safety. This was the second climb for Fire Medic Mason.
