Folly Creek Boat Ramp Renovations
The County of Accomack, VA is seeking sealed bids from qualified Virginia licensed contractors for renovations to the Folly Creek Boat Ramp located at the end of Folly Creek Road near the village of Daugherty, VA. (Rt. 651)

The work generally consists of the removal of the East Boat Ramp and bulkheads on both sides and the removal of the existing timber pier with construction of a new concrete East Boat Ramp, new bulkhead, fixed timber pier, and floating dock between the east and west boat ramps.
There will be a mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting on Wednesday, June 26th, starting no earlier than 9:00 AM at the project site.
Sealed bids may be delivered to the Accomack County Administrator’s Office, 23296 Courthouse Ave., Suite 203, Accomac, VA 23301 or may be mailed to the Accomack County Finance Office, c/o Lucy Huffman, P.O. Box 620 Accomac, VA 23301 until Monday, July 22, 2019 at 3:00 PM. Immediately thereafter, all bids received by the due date and time will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Board Chambers on the first floor of the County Administration Building, Suite 104. Bids received after the due date and time will be returned unopened.
All bids must be submitted on the Bid Form(s) provided in the IFB and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond payable to the County for 5% of the total amount of the bid. Bids must be in a sealed envelope and must be plainly marked: “IFB #723 Folly Creek Boat Ramp Renovations” and the envelope should bear on the outside the name of the Bidder with the Company address and his or her Contractor’s license number for Virginia.

Withdrawal of Bids shall be according to procedure § 2.2-4330 of the Code of Virginia, as amended. Bidders must be licensed as a Contractor in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the Bidder’s attention is directed to the requirements of Title 54.1, Chapter 11, of the Code of Virginia.
The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to contact any Bidder prior to award for explanations or clarifications. The County does not discriminate against any Bidder on any basis.
