Greenbackville Harbor Renovations – Phase IV
The County of Accomack is seeking sealed bids from qualified Virginia licensed contractors for marine demolition and construction at the Greenbackville Harbor in Greenbackville, VA 23356. The work generally consists of demolition of existing main pier and finger piers (approximately 540 LF) and construction of new pier in same location. There are three add/ alternates for this project: 1) new 320 AMP service to sixteen slips; 2) electric conduit for 320 AMP service to sixteen slips; 3) demolition and construction of “D” Pier as shown on drawings.
There will be a mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the project site. Contractors desiring to bid must be represented at this meeting.

Sealed bids may be delivered to the Accomack County Administrator’s Office, 23296 Courthouse Ave., Suite 203, Accomac, VA 23301 or may be mailed to the Accomack County Finance Department, c/o Lucy Huffman, P.O. Box 620 Accomac, VA 23301 until Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 3:00 PM. Immediately thereafter, all bids received by the due date and time will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Board Chambers on the first floor of the County Administration Building, Suite 104.
Withdrawal of Bids shall be according to procedure § 2.2-4330 of the Code of Virginia, as amended. Bidders must be licensed as a Contractor in the Commonwealth of Virginia, as required, and the Bidder’s attention is directed to the requirements of Title 54.1, Chapter 11, of the Code of Virginia.
The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to contact any Bidder prior to award for explanations or clarifications. The County does not discriminate against any Bidder on any basis.
