The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is the procurement of PROFESSIONAL AUDITING SERVICES consistent with the terms and conditions herein set forth. Accomack County is requesting proposals from qualified firms of certified public accountants to audit the financial statements of the following entities:
- Accomack County
- Accomack County Public Schools, including the Student Activity Funds
- Economic Development Authority of Accomack County, Virginia(EDA)
- Greenbackville Boat Harbor Committee (GBHC)
- Quinby Boat Harbor Committee (QBHC)
- Greenbackville/Captain’s Cove Mosquito Control Commission (GCCMCC)
The term of the contract begins for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025 through June 30, 2029, with the option of renewal for each of the five subsequent fiscal years. It is our intent to award the audits for Accomack County, Accomack County Public Schools and Economic Development Authority of Accomack County, Virginia as one individual contract. These audits are to be performed in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards, the standards set forth for financial audits in the Government Accountability Office (GAO) Government Auditing Standards; the Specifications for Audits of Counties, Cities and Towns and Specifications for Audits of Authorities, Boards and Commissions issued by the Auditor of Public Accounts of the Commonwealth of Virginia; and U.S. Office of Management and Budget 2 CFR Part 200 Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards.
